November greeted Creekside with frosty temperatures, preceded by sixty days of 100-degree, rainless summer. The common saying in Texas is this: If you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes! These bizarre seasonal weather fluctuations are influenced by the ‘El Niño’ patterns of warm water off the South American west coast. First noticed by fishermen near Christmas, El Niño is Spanish for "the boy child”. Our life patterns too, are influenced by The El Niño – Jesus. Singer/songwriter, Wayne Watson, penned, “Seasons of my soul, they come and go but as they slip away, I know something else remains that will not change. The peace that passes understanding is a blessing that will never fade away.” Near Christmas we bring tidings of comfort and joy from our Prince of Peace. Allow peace to rule your heart and mind. In Jesus we have the peace that defies comprehension, just like our Texas weather!
