JAMES LOGAN
James Logan is the executive director for MRC Creekside Retirement Community in Huntsville, Texas. James has been associated with MRC since July of 2000. He started his career with MRC as the dining director for MRC Crestview in 2000 and was later promoted, after successfully completing the requirements for his Texas administrator’s license. James graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in food science and technology. He is also a graduate from The Leadership Institute from LeadingAge Texas and successfully completed his CASP (Certified Aging Service Professional) certification. James is a member of the Huntsville LIONS Club, an active member of the Huntsville — Walker County Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the board of directors for both. He has three sons — Jeromy, Patrick and Jacob Logan. Jeromy and Patrick are currently attending Sam Houston State University, while Jacob is attending Lonestar College. In his free time, James enjoys camping, swimming, hiking, family time, and playing with his two dogs — Simba and Gunner.
VARION I. WALTON, MBA, BSN, RN, LNFA, CEN
Varion has a broad experience in healthcare, as he has served in various roles throughout his career. His experience ranges from serving as an Emergency/Trauma nurse in Dallas and at Houston Methodist in The Woodlands, to serving as Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator and Nurse Supervisor at various communities. When not in the community, he manages his Nonprofit organizations; Walton Inspires 501c3 and Walton Healthcare Associates.
Walton is a three-time graduate of Sam Houston State University; receiving his Bachelor degrees in Nursing and Business Management, and his Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA). He went on to earn his certifications as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), First Aid & CPR Instructor, and license as Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator(LNFA).
Walton moved to Huntsville in 2013, where he is an active volunteer in the greater community and at the Walker County Boys and Girls Club. He has been a member of Galilee COGIC for 6 years.
MORGAN FRANKLIN
Morgan joined the MRC team in 2018 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and she presently holds her AAS in Nursing (RN). Morgan is currently enrolled in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified in Wound Care and Infection Prevention & Control.
Morgan is a lifelong resident of Huntsville, Texas and resides with her husband, Robert and their daughter, Aubrie Elizabeth. She is a graduate of Huntsville High School where she played four years of varsity softball. Morgan enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and beach vacations.
ANNE PARRISH, LBSW
Anne Parrish has been a Social Worker for over 30 years and joined the Creekside team in 2024. Her passion for helping others started in a loving home with parents that always put helping others first. Anne’s career started with Adult Protective Services, moving into Long Term Care and Hospital Case Management and Children with Disabilities; then returned to Long Term Care & helping the elderly and disabled persons. Anne feels blessed to join the Creekside Team that shares her values of Faith, Family and serving Elders.
Anne graduated from Angelina College in Science Education and received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She is a native Texan and proud Aggie Mom. Anne is an active volunteer with many community projects, recently discovered the art of cooking, and her “heart passion” has been singing in her church Praise Team Band for over 20+years.
SUNETTA JOHNSON
Sunetta Johnson joined the MRC Creekside team in 2012 as a Charge Nurse after attending Joe G. Davis School of Vocational Nursing. She has a nursing background in geriatric, home health, correctional nursing, L&D, and a clinical setting. Sunetta has a passion for helping others, and knew at a young age that she was destined to be a nurse. She was promoted to Assisted Living Director in 2023 and is always ready and excited for new ways to serve our elders.
JENNIFER NICKELL
Jennifer Nickell is a 2019 graduate of Texas A&M University where she studied Kinesiology with a minor in Marketing, Communications and Journalism with an additional minor in Coaching. The Piney Woods have been a second home for most of Jennifer’s life. She spent most of her summers in the cozy pocket of East Texas with her wonderful grandparents. The very same grandparents who inspired her passion and love for hospitality, care, and a commitment to both.
Jennifer volunteers her time at her church in Spring, Texas that she has attended for 20+ years. Here, she has been a part of leading the kid's, youth, and the young adult’s departments. She currently volunteers her time in the media and sound department.
JESSICA GODLEY
Jessica Godley joined the Creekside team for the second time in 2023. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2010 with her bachelor’s in psychology/minor in human services. After graduation, Jessica worked at Creekside as a Universal Worker and was promoted to Administrative Assistant in 2015. While obtaining her master’s in human resources and human resource certification, Jessica worked for a National DME company as the Quality Assurance Supervisor. She returned to Creekside in 2023 as the Human Resources Coordinator to work alongside friendly and familiar faces. Jessica is passionate about communication, union and family. She loves spending time with her husband (the 2024 Huntsville Citizenship Award Recipient) and her three amazing sons.
